The Pfalz "Parasol" is a very rare aircraft of the First World War: it was used by the Bavarian regiment "9b" in 1915 in the area of the italian front, in the Alps. This airplane is very similar to the Morane Saulnier L type, because the German Pflaz factory bought the license from France before the outbreak of war. The one presented is the aircraft used by Lt. Marz, a German pilot killed in action in 1915. It is painted with the Austrian national colours, because the German pilots had to make the Italians believe that they were Austrians: Germany, in fact, declared war on Italy only after 1915.
