SH-51 Periculos

Multirole VTOL Fighter

This is the first time I've built a VTOL aircraft. Please forgive any mistakes or inaccuracies in what I've described as VTOL. Feel free to comment if there's anything that needs correction or other suggestions; I'm always open to advice, even if it's provocative.

The design is inspired by the MiG-41, which is effective at high speeds.

Weapons

Air-to-air

10x Interceptors with a thrust-vectoring missile cell mechanism (PBMC). This design has 3 advantages compared to a door mechanism:

  1. More aerodynamic: when inactive, the missile cells retract into the fuselage and become flush with its surface. Air flows smoothly without drag.

  2. Stealthier: because it's integrated with the fuselage, which is designed to reduce Radar Cross Section. Even when the cells are deployed, it remains stealthy due to its design.

  3. Simpler: reduces the possibility of missiles getting stuck during launch.

Air-to-ground

6x Inferno, with SDUSM (Stealth Detachable Underwing Missile Shield Module). This design has 3 advantages compared to wing pylons:

  1. More aerodynamic: designed to cut through the air and reduce drag more effectively than pylons.

  2. Stealthier: designed to minimize RCS.

  3. More practical: can be detached to reduce the aircraft's weight
