The challenge is to build a plane to compete in the UARC (Unmanned Air Racing Championship), the rules are relatively simple:

RULES:

1. Your plane must have 25 or less parts.
2. No XML-modding allowed except for the Max RPM and diameter of propeller engines.
3. Jet engines are not allowed! Only props.
4. Your plane must not have control surfaces, so it flies in a straight line.
5. Your design must be able to fly in a straight line at approx 500 ft for atleast 20 seconds.
6. You may submit only 1 entry!
7. Scaling of parts is not allowed
8. 1.2 engines ARE allowed, but you can have only 1.

DIMENSION RULES:

Max length: 60 ft
Max wingspan: 40 ft
Max height: 25 ft

You can leave the cockpit on your design but keep in mind the cockpit will be removed in the race.

NEWS:

The 1.5x1.5 diameter rule has been removed, you can make your fuselage any diameter you wish as long as your plane doesn't exceed the max dimensions

ABOUT THE RACE:

All your entries will be connected to each other like you see in the pictures, and then disconnected at the start of the race. The race will take place over wright airport, at 1000 ft elevation, with a starting velocity of 460 mph.

Your entries will fly approximately 3 km, before reaching the finish line.
Whoever finishes first, wins. The orange plane you see in the middle, is the pace plane, it will be included in the official race in the middle and is not a contender.

If there aren't enough contenders, the race won't start. The minimum amount of contenders is currently 5.

DEADLINE:
November 1st, 2017

PRICES:

- Each entry gets one upvote for participation

- 1st place: 20 upvotes and a spotlight on one of your builds that I like the most.
- 2nd place: 10 upvotes
- 3rd place: 5 upvotes

Is it ok if I scaled a light bulb? I came up with a new idea and I'd like to try it in the competition.
