    @WiiMini @PolarcapAeronautics Chris has a point, but that’s only because the wings have a pretty thick chord compared to other airliners.


    Wing aspect ratio is the square of the wingspan divided by wing area. Wings have two kinds of drag, but the simplified version of physics is that for subsonic planes, a lower wing aspect ratio means less drag, and thus more lift. This is why most light planes have high wing aspect ratios, and gliders, especially, take this to an extreme. However, the delta wings you see in supersonic planes like the F-16 and the Concorde have a low wing aspect ratio delta wings because of more complicated supersonic physics and handling.
