The Rithil is a pusher attack aircraft used by the air force of the Odinic Realm, the post-Crumbling regime that holds most of Denmark and the Scandinavian Peninsula. Armed with 10 0.55 tum (13.6 mm) heavy machine guns and 4 1.25 tum (31 mm) cannons, the Rithil is a cost-effective mower of troops and soft targets. It's also capable of delivering a modest, yet useful payload. Rithills are most often seen in the Danish Front, where the Realm has been at war with the Blessed Germanic Empire for a few years at this point, ostensibly due to religious differences, but the underlying reason is that the Empire strongly relies on wind power and wants to amplify it's coastline for this purpose; this being one of many technologies that survived the Crumbling.

The Thule Hyperborean Odinic Realm, as it's officially named, is a totalitarian government that was formed in the Scandinavian Peninsula in the times of the Crumbling. Another polity born from Crumbling-era xenophobic movements, the Realm's ideological foundation is based on race. While most other such movements saw considerable elite support, the Nordic ones notably managed to seize State power during the Crumbling. The Realm's State ideological lynchpin is the National Rebirth, where Scandinavia must be cleansed of ideological pollution to become a true bastion of the European race from which to reconquer Europe. To this end, the Realm has strongly appropiated ancient Norse beliefs, regarding them as the primordial religion of the Nordic race.
