DMU-120A-A2 ODONG
The DMU-120A-A2 Odong is a diesel-electric multiple unit (DEMU) commuter train built locally by Pearlia Railway Services under license from the KiHa 32 series design. Introduced in the early 2011s, it was the first fully locally-assembled modern commuter DMU in PRS service.
The DMU-120A-A2 Odong was conceived during PRS’s transitional period in the 2010s, when many legacy locomotives and coaches were aging but electrification had not yet begun. PRS acquired blueprint rights and partial manufacturing documentation from the KiHa 32 platform, adapting it for Pearlian climate, track conditions, and low-density regional operation.
