The LF-1 Lion is a light fighter aircraft starting development in 1934 and entering service in 1937 with the Lathistian Air Force. The LF-1 was Lathistias first production fighter aircraft, entering service in 1937 along the same time as the BF-109 and Spitfire. It was a single engine, single seat light fighter designed for turn fighting, and had a powerfull 1200hp engine in the A-1 (first production) variant. It was relatively small at 8.4 meters long, and had a wingspan of 11 meters. It had a unique wing design were the inner section of the wing had a 0° (flat) dihedral, and the middle and outer sections had a 5° dihedral. From A-1 to A-3 models the armament was 4 Volk V-12 50MG 12.6 millimeter machine guns, but from A-4 forth, the armament was increased to 6, and option to add 2 Volk V-20-39 20 millimeter cannons. Its canopy opened right, and on the left side of the cockpit was a door similar to the Spitfire that would open up for easy disembarking. They were the primary fighter aircraft for Lathistia in the early years of World War 2, and it was also exported to countries such as Liteir, Britan and the USSR. Over 20,000 were produced, and they shot down over 15,000 Axis aircraft. Late War variants included 4x Volk V-20 20mm Cannons.
