The Boeing 777 , also called the Boeing Triple Seven , is a twin-engine widebody turbofan aircraft developed and manufactured by the American company Boeing . It is the largest twin-engine aircraft in the world, seating 314 to 550 passengers in one to three classes, with a range of 5,235 to 9,380 nautical miles (9,695 to 17,372 km ). Commonly referred to as the Triple Seven , [ 5 ] [ 6 ] its features include the world's largest turbofan engine, six wheels on each main landing gear , a fully circular fuselage cross-section, [ 7 ] and a blade-shaped tail cone. [ 8 ] Developed in partnership with eight airlines, the 777 was designed to replace older widebody airliners . The 777 was the first commercial aircraft produced by Boeing equipped with the fly-by-wire system , allowing computer-mediated controls. Egyptair is the state-owned flag carrier[9] of Egypt.
