Focke-Wulf TA.462 ''Gefährliche Bogenschütze (Dangerous Archer)''

119k DestinyAviation  8.5 years ago

Another aircraft to join my fictional X-plane collection, this newest addition is quite fun! Featuring four (fictional) Jumo EF2652 Turbojet engines. The top, bottom, and waist turrets are all remote-controlled. Unlike most German X-planes for the time, the tail-gunner position is manually controlled. The defensive armament is six 20mm cannons and the offensive armament is four 30mm cannons. This long-range heavy bomber has an internal load of either one 4,000 lbs. bomb, two 2,000 lbs. bombs, or four 1,000 lbs. bombs. It has a crew of four; Pilot, Navigator/Bombardier, and two Gunners. It has a top speed of close to 700 miles per hour. If this plane had actually existed, it would have most likely been apart of the German's "Amerika Bomber" initiative. Enjoy!

I uploaded a simpler way. Just place the sheet on your fuselage that covers the wing@RABpilot

@Wahoo12 yup, that makes sense. Thank you!

Lol yeah. Just take a flat fuselage block, put the first wing on it, put the second one on it so that it is a two tone wing, put another fuselage block through both wings to hold them together, put a cockpit on the second fuselage, take off the first one, take off the cockpit, move the wings where you wan them, and remove the second fuselage. Hope that made sense... @RABpilot

You can do the two tone WINGS without XML modding. Theyre just a pain to make. @RABpilot

@RABpilot : and I apologize for any nagging; I'm a grammar nazi. Check luft46.com if you haven't seen it! If you have, maybe this Lippisch http://www.luft46.com/lippisch/lip13a.html or a Fw Ta400.

@Martijnproper thank you for telling me this. I'll keep it in mind for the next plane I make. And a question: What German X-Plane should I base my next project off of?

Germans tend to name military stuff after predatory animals, though... Looks nice, I'll fly it later. And comment on that ;)
