The Mi-24 is a Soviet era attack gunship.

This is my favorite heli to fly in SimplePlanes right now and I had a lot of fun modding it.

This one comes in a Desert Stripes camouflage.

CONTROLS:

AG1: Engine (switch is upper right on the pilots cockpit)

AG2: Jettisons Inferno ATGM’s. (switch found behind the joystick in the pilots cockpit and is found to the right in the gunners cockpit)

AG3: STAB (Found underneath jettison switches) the stab allows you to not roll as much when preforming other in flight actions

AG4: jettison rocket pods (found in jettison controls)

AG5: Arm Weapons systems (there are various ways to arm the system in the cockpit and gunners cockpit; in the gunners cockpit there’s a button and in the cockpit it’s a switch behind the joystick)

AG6: Air conditioning fans for the pilot and gunner, a nice touch to keep your crew in a ready fighting order

AG7 and 8: lights (found to the right in the cockpit)

WEAPONS:

Inferno x4 — MultiRole
Rocket Pod x56 — Air-Ground
TATGM x2 — MultiRole
35mm Cannon — MultiRole

TATGM: a tandem charge ATGM with a large amount of explosive filler that can easily destroy a tank or a building deadly to anything without flares

Infernos: they can serve as air to air missiles or ATGM’s, a powerful solution to any enemy vehicle

Rocket Pod: being one of your dumb weapons it can be used to take out any ground based enemy

*35mm Cannon: a very special modification that allows a separately controlled cannon. Once you’ve armed the heli you can control the gun through the second joystick in the gunners cockpit or it can be controlled by looking around in the gunner view camera. I want to see if I can modify it to have different fire rates in the future.

OTHER GIZMOS AND GADGETS:

Simple Radar: a simple radar that tells you where your enemy is, a nice and fitting touch to help you out. (Can be found in both cockpits)

STAB: AG3 activates a stabilizer that keeps you level so it’s easier to hover.
