Probably my favorite plane from WW2. The P-47 was a multi-purpose fighter. It was used for dogfights, strafing, and bombing. The P-47 could somehow carry half the payload of a B-17!!! The Thunderbolt did very well in all of its purposes. It had a great view from the cockpit, was pretty maneuverable, was armed with a lot of guns, and could take a lot of bullets before going down.
