F-82 Twin Mustang - "Gringo"

82.2k SimplyPlain  4.0 years ago

I'm just in a mustang kind of mood... hence this twin of the type that made the Korean skies unsafe for several years, with .50 cals, bombs and HVAR's.

  • AG1 : switches on the engine smoke effect, if you like...
  • AG2 : lights
  • AG3 : drop tank
  • AG4 : drop all bombs in one go
  • AG5 : tail wheel unlock for steering during taxi run

...

It's a great replication but, the rudders look enormous. Is it to scale?@SimplyPlain

@Diloph I just didn't much like the original "night fighter" version myself. It handled strangely sometimes, and when pushed reached some 400 km/h -not great for a plane that should be able to hit 700 without too much effort. So -got rid of the (admittedly ugly) radar, the coffin-colour, tweaked controls and engines a bit, added some hardware (the original only had its .50's) and some other small detail stuff. Overall, I enjoy this version way more. So why not upload..? Nobody's forced to download it :D

I do love this build! But I got a question, why just reupload another f-82just without the giant radar? Just, if you are to rebuild or re upload a plane just without something slight like a radar? I’d say it should be a remaking of the past like to make the old build better, not just taking off somthing and uploading it again, UNLESS people don’t like it and they wanted it without the radar then that’s fine but it’s only my dumb opinion. Good plane though
