PF. Mk.1b 'Saviour'

15 B3nj1  9.3 years ago

The Saviour earned it's name from the role it played in the War of Union. This small but fast fighter aircraft was the first aircraft operated by the Wright Isles Air Defence Force, and was instrumental in the destruction of a large number of 'Conveyor' Bomber aircraft of the Krakabloa Air Arm. The Key to the Saviour's success was its speed and endurance, able to menace enemy bombers from takeoff to landing.

The Mk. 1b was fitted with a new engine giving it additional power. This increased altitude performance and top speed, but reduced the fighters range somewhat. That said, the Mk.1b was a significant advance and provided more than adequate protection for the new 'Spider' bomber aircraft of the WIADF in their missions agaonst Krakabloan targets.
