This is my humble attempt at recreating the ornithopters used by House Atreides in the 2021 movie Dune. I managed to get the wings to generate thrust by flapping, but it is barely enough to keep it aloft in horizontal flight, so VTOL jets are used during takeoff and landing (you can pull the VTOL lever up during horizontal flight to throttle up the jets for some extra speed).
