The EH216-S is a Chinese autonomous electric eVTOL designed for short-range urban air mobility, combining compact design, safety redundancy.
The EH216-S is a two-seat electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft engineered to operate autonomously, without the need for a pilot onboard. It measures approximately 1.93 meters in height and 5.73 meters in width, with a maximum take-off weight of 620 kg. Its propulsion system is fully electric, powered by advanced lithium-ion batteries, enabling a maximum speed of 130 km/h and a range of about 30–35 km, ideal for short-distance missions such as airport transfers, tourism flights, or inter-island connections.
One of its defining features is the autonomous flight technology, which integrates intelligent command systems and multiple redundancies to ensure safety. The aircraft is equipped with 16 rotors arranged in pairs, providing stability and backup in case of individual rotor failure. Charging time is approximately 60 minutes, allowing for efficient turnaround in urban operations.
The EH216-S is designed to meet the growing demand for urban air taxis and aerial tourism, offering a sustainable alternative to congested ground transport. Its low-noise profile and zero-emission propulsion make it suitable for densely populated environments. Beyond passenger transport, the aircraft is also envisioned for logistics missions, expanding its utility in smart city ecosystems.
From a regulatory perspective, the EH216-S is part of ongoing certification processes in China and internationally, aiming to comply with safety and operational standards for autonomous aerial vehicles. Its development reflects a broader ambition: to integrate autonomous eVTOLs into everyday mobility, transforming how people and goods move across cities.
In essence, the EH216-S represents a fusion of autonomy, sustainability, and practicality, positioning itself as one of the most advanced steps toward making urban air mobility a reality.

OMG ITS YOU UR BACK!
I know this eVTOL is autonomous, but my desire to make a basic cockpit won out XD
To be honest, I think this is the most mature eVTOL currently available on the market, and I would definitely fly in one of these; The Chinese do a great job.
