For a long time I believe since around this time in 2024 I have been trying to create this Ouragan equipped with Shafrir II missiles. However, I didn't have a model of sufficient quality that could be adapted to the size of the missiles I was using. Finally, I managed to create the model, and I am very grateful to @Hooha12 for the Ouragan; it is one of the best I’ve encountered and it adapted perfectly to the missile. Thank you very much, and here is a bit of history about it:
Following the U.S. ban on the sale of military equipment (after the 1969 "War of Self-Defense"), the Salvadoran government found it necessary to seek weaponry on the other side of the world. Starting in 1973, the Salvadoran Air Force (FAS) entered the "Jet Age" by acquiring second-hand aerial material from the countries that would become its main suppliers: France and Israel.
Twenty Dassault MD-450 "Ouragan" aircraft were acquired (18 operational and two for spare parts), but not all were equipped with the missile system. During the 1970s, firing tests were conducted in the skies over the Salvadoran coastline.
These tests were performed with inert missiles, and active missiles were not used at the time. Due to restricted access to FAS facilities and because it was a classified weapon system back then, there is currently no photographic record of the MD-450 aircraft carrying the Shafrir-2 missile; they were only photographed with the missile rails.
Today, two (inert) missiles are on permanent display at the National Aviation Museum, serving as witnesses to one of the many eras of glory for the Salvadoran Air Force.
