The Gram is one of several fighter aircraft used by the Odinic Realm. A light, short-ranged design, it's unusual configuration embodies, in a sense, the Realm's State ideology: the nose-engined, midship-prop configuration makes bailing out specially dangerous. However, in exchange for this danger, the Gram not only possesses an armament layout enviable for a conventional tractor fighter, but also confers an enviable speed in spite of the low power of Hyperborean engines. The Gram is primarily deployed along the Southern Scandinavian coast, where it is tasked with attaining air superiority against the Empire's air force. It's armament, of 6 0.55 tum (13.6 mm) HMGs, are, in spite of apparent caliber, more than enough to challenge the German Empire's heavy bombers since they're not just among the most powerful guns of their kind in Europe, but also possess the most explosive filling.

This dangerous trait reflects an ideology of eternal struggle and survival of the fittest. This bloody logic is realized by the Realm in two ways: the caste system, which divides the population by physical and psychological characteristics and assigns them professions according to them; and the eugenics system that seeks to improve the race through selective breeding. For the pilot training program, this not only translates into a steady income of new pilots, who are seen among the finest subcategories within their caste and to this end provided with more partners; but also an organized training program starting from the teenage years, when the inhabitants of the Realm are trained into what will be their lifelong work.

However, in spite of all this, however, the truth is that the Odinic Realm's military culture, individualistic and glory-driven, tends to raise reckless pilots all too eager to seek glory; and who not too rarely meet their ends in high-risk plays. In contrast, the Empire's pilots are disciplined and taught to work as one.
