(FICTIONAL) Panther cub was a german ww2 era light version of the Panther D medium tank designed in the late 1944. The tank had same hull but it was equipped with a lighter armored turret with a 95mm Flak 112 "GrobeKanone" that was effective against the russian t-34 and american M26 Pershing tanks. The tank was widely used in the western front and it was effective and fast with the top speed of 60kmh but it suffered from engine malfunctions and slow turret traverse. Only few hundred were made, because it was expensive and its design was poor. It had a crew of 5, Commander, loader, gunner, driver and a radior operator/machine gunner. The tank was used mostly for infantry support, due to the extra machine guns it had. The frontal hull armor was 80mm but the turret armor was only 40mm thick, except the 100mm gun mantlet. Only 3 survived the war, rest of them were either destroyed or salvaged. Nowdays two of the three tanks are in the museums of london and one is in a museum in frankfurt. During the war, the tank scored over 400 confirmed tank kills and 59 remain unconfirmed. Most famous use of this tank was in italy, where a tank ace "Kurt Hartz" scored over 45 kills in a span of 3 weeks until he was killed by an american anti tank gun. 30 tanks were left in service after the war, but they soon were salvaged because the ineffectiveness against modern tanks. Last panther cub retired in 1957 and remains to this day in a museum in berlin.
