The Explosive Cyclogenesis C is a lower-range variant of the Explosive Cyclogenesis, possessing the same tail unit as the Snail-Eater B for improved control. The reason for skipping the B is to allude to the variant's shortening.

This version was created due to two factors: On one side, the baseline aircraft had proven to struggle in combat against SFR Cacalambris in skirmishes and, on the other, the greater performance of the CIR's own attack aircraft created worries that the offensive arm of the Confederal Air Force was concentrating too much power and resources, having no checks if they were to go rogue.

Often complementing Aquilones of Tyrrhenian origin thanks to it's ability to use more austere airfields, this variant of the Explosive Cyclogenesis trades fuel capacity for a much improved speed. This particular aircraft is also equipped with short wings and dual 27 mm cannons instead of the usual quartet of 10 mm machine guns, a configuration more typically employed to counter potential heavy bombers.
