The VTOL engine is only there for the engine start-up.
The top speed of this engine is set to max speed that it can do, you might need to change some or a lot of things according to your application.

@JumpingJack where do you add that. I was trying adding it in the overload xml editor mod but i didn't make it
btw u probably have been getting notifications from me sry about that.
anyways you dont need the limitless spin mod, just add maxAngularVelocity = 20,000 in the part's state.

wow, congrats on this engine! the max I could do with an inline 4 was 4.25x piston speed, but yours does 4.4x, really impressive!
