The J-35 is a new generation of stealth carrier-based fighter aircraft independently developed by China. It was designed by the Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute of AVIC and produced by Shenyang Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., LTD. Planning began in 2004, and it made its maiden flight on October 29, 2021. It is scheduled to be officially commissioned in 2024. This model adopts a single-seat, twin-engine, outward-inclined double vertical tail and folding wing design. It is capable of both electromagnetic catapult and ski-jump takeoff. It mainly undertakes the task of seizing air superiority for aircraft carrier battle groups and is a landmark equipment for the navy's transformation to a far-sea defense type
