The Cantarella A Series was the first mass-produced long-range, quad-engine widebody aircraft developed in Montessia. Its maiden flight took place on 12 January 1979, departing from the Aviazione Nazionale production line and testing base on the Coast of San Morino, with a total flight time of two hours.

The Cantarella, officially designated Aereo 300-100 in production form, was developed from the earlier Aereo 200 platform and incorporated several design features from the NA.20 Mercury program. The A300 was positioned as a cost-effective solution for national operators, serving carriers such as MontelliAero, Atlant Airways, NvoCargo, and many others. The name Cantarella was chosen in honor of the chief designer’s late wife, Anna Cantarella D’Amore, continuing the company’s tradition of naming aircraft after meaningful figures.

An export version, designated A300-100C, was later introduced. This model was designed with simplified overhaul requirements, making it adaptable for long-haul passenger service, dedicated freighter use, or even premium CEO Class configurations. It was powered by FD-9C turbofan engines, which offered reliability and efficiency, albeit with a slightly reduced thrust-to-weight ratio compared to earlier prototypes.

Wok de tok:
Nope, it’s not an Il-96, Il-86, or whatever else you might guess… and she’s definitely not that Cantarella. 🍰 And why “strawberry cheesecake”? Well… because that’s my favorite, of course~

A little Krüger flap on the leading edge, like the 747’s big sis and some simple pylons playing nice with the trailing flaps. Honestly, she could’ve been finished in just a few days…but well, I’ve been a lazy, so please go easy on me~

Now i shall do fire and forget thingy so...ta ta~
