ANNOUNCEMENT FOR DOWNLOADERS (10/6/2025): THIS IS THE F/A-77AB BLOCK 1 MOSQUITO, THERE'S A MOSQUITO WAY BETTER THAN THIS ONE ALREADY IN ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT, IF YOU'D LIKE TO CHECK THE NEW ADDITIONS; FOLLOW ME AND STAY UPDATED, IT'LL BE RELEASED IN A FEW WEEKS.
— · INTRODUCING THE F/A-77AB "Mosquito" · —
The YF/A-77B (YF: Prototype Fighter) was a Multi-Purpose Carrier-Based Fighter Jet that underwent development for a period starting in Mid-2024 and being finished in Sunday 4th of May, 9 days before my birthday. It is the successor of the F/A-72A Block 10, which was a Fighter Jet filled with malfunctions and having an horribly defective design. The F/A-77AB is now being released, even if my phone protests, after so many struggles and issues; it's here.
It went from being a Turboprop Light-Attack, Patrol and Reconnaissance Carrier-Based Aircraft — to being a Multi-Role Carrier-Based Fighter Jet that carries armament as if it was an A-10C Thunderbolt II.
It used to be poorly designed and even worse than it is now, until I began putting more attention to detail and started giving the plane lots of aesthetic and/or conventional features that eventually turned it into a BEAST.
One of the things that evolved the most was its cockpit, which was a Copy-Paste from the Pigpen (but began evolving shortly after it became a Fighter Jet).
This plane has had and probably still has a lot of malfunctions and issues in its design. Such as the ugly intakes, the stiff landing gear and other things. The Custom Landing Gear I made used to have Shocks that made landings smooth like butter, but since I added all the extra armament. I had to sadly replace the Shocks with normal fuselage parts, making the landing gear stiff — more crash landing than smooth.
However, I'd prefer to keep these wheels rather than using the normal Landing Gear because they've got really bad brakes. Remember that the F/A-77AB is supposed to be a Carrier-Based Multi-Role Fighter — which is why normal Landing Gears are a BIG No-No for me.
I've already talked a lot, so I'll just give some specifications about its features and armament:
Fully Designed Cockpit (COMPLETELY FUNCTIONAL Ejection Seat, Radar, Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), Buttons/Switches, Flap Lever, Trim Lever)
Resistant Landing Gear.
Tailhook (do I have to explain this?).
Foldable Wings so it can be stored inside an Aircraft Carrier's Hangar Bay.
IRST Targeting POD (Made by Kimhs).
Radar Jammer (Dysfunctional because I was lazy to attach a Flight Computer to it, and the HUD would get corrupted if I did. Made by Onat67).
6 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder Infra-Red Guided Air-To-Air Missiles (made by FoxDynamicWeapons).
8 AIM-120D-3 AMRAAM Radar-Guided Medium-Range Air-To-Air Missiles (Made by Gabriel3855 and modified by me into a fictional upgrade of the AIM-120D).
4 AGM-84L-1 Block II+ ER Anti-Ship Missiles (made by TrapsKiller)
2 AGM-65K Maverick (made by Gabriel3855, I lov this guy so much)
2 GBU-12 Paveway IV Laser-Guided Bombs (Made by PenguinPilot12).
4 Mk82 SnakeEye Retarded Bombs (Made by Destroyerz117).
4 Dumb Bombs that could kill you if you don't drop them from atleast 650-1000m of Altitude.
5 20mm Gatling Guns (4 on each of the Wings, one on the Nose Center)
4 .50 Cal Machine Guns (placed right in the middle of the four 20mm Gatling Guns on the Wings).
1 Under-Nose 1000mm Big-Boi Cannon (don't judge me for this).
ACTIVATION GROUPS:
AG1: Radar Jammer.
AG2: Fold/Unfold Wings.
AG3: Airbrakes + Drag Chute (it doesn't have a drag chute anymore? I had forgotten through all those modifications)
AG4: YEET! (Ejection).
AG5: Tailhook.
AG6: Jettison Droptanks + Air-to-Ground Payload (Disarm First)
AG7: Jettison Air-to-Air Payload (Disarm First).
AG8: Arm/Disarm Weapon Systems.
AG9: Extend Fuel Probe (I think?)
It also has INT/NAV Lights, but I don't remember their Activation Groups because I'm lazy. You have the buttons to activate them in the cockpit anyways.
