[KE-RP] LIMA-1A1 “Badger”

66.1k B1BLancer  one month ago

Overview

The LIMA-1A1 “Badger” (Light Integrated Mobile Armor) is a light tank designed and produced by the Republic of Spin. The main purpose of this tank is to replace the aging LT-1A1 “Shepard” Light Tank. The Badger is a well-armored light tank, able to withstand powerful rounds striking its hull and turret. The Badger is equipped with a massive main cannon with a barrel diameter of 150mm. It can easily punch through enemy armor, and will be used for clearing enemy armor from far, concealed positions. It has an advanced gun sight, and that would have a rangefinder irl. This tank can be used for large incursions, but will be held in position as a light armor platform able to flank enemies and deal great damage to them.

However, the most impressive and important aspect of this design, is its ability to coordinate with offshore naval vessels, aircraft, and other vehicles and infantry. The Integrated part of “LIMA” signifies this key feature. That extension in the rear of the turret houses all the radio equipment and operating systems. Ammunition is held to the left side of the chassis, behind the turret, and in the rear of the turret as well. The commander’s viewport is mainly the gun sight, but can resort to the small openings in the cupola above the turret. The second turret hatch, next to the cupola hatch, houses a .50 caliber machine gun. This gun can be swiveled from the camera view, and can deal serious damage to lightly armored vehicles, and can help mow down hordes of infantry. The other .50 caliber machine gun on the cannon elevation mechanism can do so too, but cannot swivel and instead moves with the elevation.

The turning on this design has been improved, it can now perform 360º turns without moving from its position with counter rotation of the gears, making the tracks move in opposite directions.

Instructions

    Yeah, well I'm tryna make the S-7 weigh similar to a Leopard 1 in SP scale

    @SPWithLizzie well yea, realistically the LIMA should weigh like 50,000 pounds, but it weighs 18,000 in SP because it doesn’t scale weight off of size.

    The S-7 is still incredibly fast for some reason, it's less of a heavy, and more of a really early MBT

    @SPWithLizzie ah, yes. An even heavier tank. Now realistically, that would be slow, heavy, and big. Two or three badgers would make quick work of it frontally. One can penetrate armor from the side with ease too. But that tank would be a juicy target for aircraft, especially a GBH-10 attack helicopter (teaser)

    @B1BLancer
    Yeah, so that's why I'm building an S-7, with, like, 4× more armour than the S-5

    @SPWithLizzie lmao, it’s a ligh tank, so that is to be expected. But it’s even worse the other way around
