P.07a-1e Fighter Plane

Ostpreußen Airforce P.07a-1e
The current modern fighter aircraft of the Airforce, drawing heavy influence from Dutch aircraft design, while maintaining the Ostpreußen precision and refinement.

Pre-1936 Design
The P.07a-1e originally began it's design cycle as a large fighter biplane meant to replace the outdated P.04a-1e naval fighter-bomber in 1932. Although, the design process for the P.07a was slow, and an overall consensus of a unified design wasn't made until 1935 when the lead designer of the project, Dr. Jaakkima Niclas Brinkerhoff, was made aware of the Netherland's development into a modern fighter plane with the Fokker D.XXI.
Come 1936, with a prototype of the Fokker D.XXI constructed, and Dr. Brinkerhoff making sure to be part of the advisors inspecting the aircraft at Eindhoven, the entire design cycle for the P.07a-1e was completely redirected to make a significantly improved version of what the Dutch have.

Post-1936 Design
With the handful of lead designers at a consensus of what to design, and a scale model of the original prototype available, the design team for the P.07a-1e made quick work in development of their new modern fighter.
One of the most pressing changes made was the introduction of a domestic [undefined] 1100hp engine and using four propeller blades instead of three, has been found to propell the aircraft to upwards of 515kmh at 7,620m.
Alongside this, two Dutch M36 FN-Browning machine guns (750 rounds each) were mounted mid-wing and outside the propellers, while a single German MG 131 (300 rounds) was mounted offset behind the engine cowling. Since 1940, there have been plans to mount a Hispano-Suiza HS.404 20mm cannon into the nose, as well as replacing the M36 FN-Brownings with German-built MG 15's or MG 131's.

Current Airframe
The P.07a-1e is a low-wing monoplane fighter, with a steel airframe and wooden spar construction, while the airframe was covered in a thin aluminum panels.
The landing gear is configured as a tail dragger, with fixed spatted undercarriage and cantilever legs.
The cockpit is entirely enclosed by a plexiglass hood, with the rear segment on a hinge for the pilot to enter/exit from, and can be unhinged and ejected in case of emergencies.
A 331 liter fuel tank lies ahead of the pilot and between the engine, and a 56 liter fuel tank behind the pilot. Auxiliary fuel tanks could be installed on the undercarriage and under the wings.
The pilot is protected by a 30mm panel of ballistic glass to his front, and has access to a 15x scope.
The aircraft is capapble of carrying a 250kg bomb on the undercarriage, or a 100kg and two 50kg on the wings.
