Lore: In 2028, with the USAF locked in a war with the Black Hand terrorist organization, the government forces had to build a versatile tanker aircraft: It needed to be a modification of an off-the-shelf aircraft, needed the ability to take off and land on makeshift and poorly built runways, and needed some self-defense capabilities. Boeing won the contract with the KA-10D, a tanker conversion of the A-10. One of the defining differences the KA-10D has is the reduced weaponry and instruments, most notably the the removal of the GAU-8 Avenger, with only 2 AIM-9SDA (Shortrun Defense - Advanced) and 1 AGM-27 Inferno for self-defense, but it theoretically maintains daylight bombing capability. It has a optional autonomous fuel dispense system so only 1 person has to control everything. It is not a Naval vehicle, but is equipped with a tailhook for emergency carrier landings. Instructions are in the SimplePlanes instructions tab. They should be visible upon starting flight. Credit to dots for the Simple A-10 model, go check him out!
