MT-90

952 PotatoAviation  6.1 years ago

The first tank I ever built. (Excuse for bad suspension)
Also, how do you make the tank turn in place? (Neutral steering)

The MT-90 is a light MBT- its armour is between the armour of a light tank and an MBT, giving it great mobility. Its gun is a very powerful 120mm cannon, giving it the ability to knock out any ground target.

As said before, the tank is quite lightly armoured. There are three variants: a) The one showed here: spaced armour with ERA, b) composite armour-steel/ceramic/steel and ERA on top, c) additional composite armour moulded around the turret+ERA

It uses a 120mm smoothbore gun, with the ability to use APFSDS or HEATFS rounds or ATGMs. The gun is fully stabilized (not ingame lol) meaning it can fire while driving. 8 rounds are stored in the turret bustle and 22 are stored in the hull.

The tank has a relatively low-profile turret, on top of which are the commander’s cupola with 360 degree periscopes, gunner’s viewports, a separate IR and thermal vision periscope and a 20mm machine gun on a remote controlled mount.

Instructions:
Move with pitch and roll (braking is idiotic because of the suspension)
VTOL:gun elevation
Trim:traverse
AG8 activates the turret traverse and gun elevation
AG1 activates the RCWS and periscope movement
AG7 activates the lights.
Fire rocket: fire APFSDS round
Guns: 20mm MG
Countermeasures: smoke grenades

Have fun!

I've been using @scratches Wrightzer for code on the engine to make the wheels work like you're asking. I've had to tweak it to taste & match each side.
Also the suspension for this seems like it will work by the time I'm done (if that ever happens).

Ok, this build is 4 years old. Second time I've done that today
