Initially designed as a Light Air Supremacy aircraft in 2021 for the USAF, it was decided by the Department of Defence that the airframe did not meet their requirements. However, the airframe was not binned: Instead, was adopted by the US Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Program. Better known as TOP GUN.
Seen here in its red finish as an "Aggressor" aircraft, flown by elite USN Pilots to put candidates through their paces.
