Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat

Here we have a World War 2 era Warbird as these are what I am really into hobby-wise. The sturdy and highly versatile Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat first entered service in 1938 and was an instant success as a naval aircraft. Such was this success that the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm operated these aircraft as Grumman Martlet Mk Is and the US Navy demanded that Grumman develop the F4F-4 and later FM-2 versions as the United States was drawn into WW2 in December 1941. The Wildcat also lent many of its qualities to the Grumman F6F Hellcat which went on to become one of the most successful WW2 fighters designed and manufactured in the United States. NOTE: If you can replicate an authentic colour scheme better than I can please feel free to do so - open invite :o)
