HISTORY
The Black Sledge class cruisers were a class of northporteese light cruisers/destroyer leaders built in the immediate postwar. Two were built as the design was found lightly armed when compared to the newer british cruisers. They spent most of their carrer patroling the colonies at the isle of Palawan. The class was composed of:
-NKM Black Sledge: Launched in 1919 and completed in 1920. The ship was stationed at Queen´s Harbor, Palawan. She returned to the mainland in 1935 for a refit. During the 1942 revolution she was stationed at Queen´s Harbor and spent the conflict docked there. She was sunk by Japaneese Army bombers during the invasion of Palawan in december 1942.
-NKM Narigon: Launched in 1920 and completed on 1921. She shared the same colonial duties as her sister. On 1939 she was sent for refits to the mainland. The economic reccesion associated with the war meant the repairs were delayed. She went back into service in early 1942. The revolution caught her in Idyeivien harbor, being seized by the royalist side. She took part in some cargo runs to the forces during the battle of Narigon. She was sunk by naval aircraft in november 1942 by rebel dive bombers while docked at South Dockside.
