History:

The AMFV-11 Scorpion is a multirole armoured fighting vehicle designed by SMC Ground Forces for export to smaller militaries. The Scorpion can be used in the reconnaissance, infantry support and anti-tank missions. The vehicle is powered by a 300hp engine powering eight wheels. This provides good on-road and off-road performance. Steering comes from the two forward and two aft wheels. The tyres are able to run at up to 45mph flat and the air pressure can be varied according to the driving surface by the driver.

The primary armament of the Scorpion is a single 90mm cannon mounted in an unmanned turret. This cannon poses a significant threat to all but the most heavily armoured main battle tank. Having an unmanned turret means that the vehicle has a lower profile, so is less vulnerable to direct fire from other armoured vehicles. The 90mm cannon is equipped with an autoloader and a 32 shell magazine, which means that reloading is quick and consistent.

Secondary armaments include a 15mm autocannon controlled remotely by the gunner and four anti-tank missiles mounted on the outside of the turret. These are used against heavier targets that the cannon is unable to effectively engage and are targeted remotely. Four reloads are stored inside the hull

The AMFV-11 has a crew of two, a driver and a gunner, with the driver in command. Access to the vehicle is through two hatches in the roof of the hull. There is miscellaneous storage in compartments along each side of the hull.

The hull is surrounded by 30mm of sloped ceramic armour plate, which can be bolstered by the addition of reactive armour packages. The engine, fuel systems and crew compartment is coated with Kevlar for splinter protection. The turret has 12.7mm of ceramic armour and an additional 20mm of composite armour around the ammunition storage spaces. The vehicle can take hits by shells of up to 90mm and remain mobile with up to four wheels missing and the turret destroyed. Each missile launcher serves as a blow-out compartment, dissipating blast and protecting the Scorpion in the event of premature missile detonation.

40 units have been ordered by the East Hamalian and Consador armies and 25 by the Brightneau Army. Each vehicle costs $976,000 per unit and is available for export to all allied nations.

Instructions:

AG1 arms the main gun, VTOL and TRIM to aim.
AG2 activates the searchlight.
AG3 activates the autocannon, VTOL and TRIM to aim.
AG4 activates the headlights.
