In the 1960s, in the mid-era of the Cold War, this aircraft was manufactured for reconnaissance and ground strike. It was launched in 1967 and mainly used by the Soviet’s.
It was decommissioned finally in 1980 by the Ukrainian Air Force. It was also could be equipped with a ballistic warhead. Although it’s slow speed, it was an excellent aircraft.
It also had a variant that is stealth also, a “S” variant that was shorter and faster
