J-5 fighter is the first generation of single seat and single engine fighter imitated by China Shenyang state owned 112 factory (now known as AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Industry Company) in the 1950s. It is the first high subsonic fighter made and equipped with the air force in China.
The aircraft refers to the Soviet MiG-17 f( Mig-17f) fighter is developed with a swept back single wing aerodynamic configuration with nose intake. The aircraft has all metal structure, small volume, light weight and good low altitude maneuverability. It is equipped with a Chinese imitation "turbojet-5" engine.
