The Handley Page Reading Marathon was a 1940s four-engine British civil transport aircraft capable of seating twenty passengers, it was originally designed by F.G Miles Ltd . It was built from 1946 to 1951 mostly by Handley Page Reading. The last one was retired by Derby Aviation in December of 1960. This specific aircraft is XA274/G-AHMT, First registered as G-AHMT in March 1951. It then went to the RAF and was registered as XA274 where it performed various trials. F.G Miles Ltd then bought it back in December 1958 when it was re-registered as G-AHMT. Out of the four ex-RAF Marathons bought back by F.G Miles Ltd it was the only one that was overhauled and flown. It's last flight in April 1962 was the last flight of any Marathon anywhere. it was later scrapped at Shoreham in May 1964. WARNING: try not to exceed the actual top speed (233mph) as otherwise excessive pitching or rolling will cause the aircraft to explode. I hope you enjoy!
