AIRTAXI-240 'Buston II' Airliner

18.5k LonelyAustrianUhlan  2.1 years ago

The 240:

The 240 was the successor of the AIRTAXI 140 and was the first true large commercial success in the AIRTAXI series of airliners. It was fairly fast and could carry a fair number of passengers (for the time) as well as very reliable in almost every climate.
The 240 sold well and was the main competitor and counterpart of the Q-202 with the two being the most common airliners at the time, it served for a while until the start of the jet and trans-oceanic age being finally retired from service in various roles many years after it's entry into service.
