Overview
The GAMBT-Y950M1 is Guardian Aerospace’s first MBT. The GAMBT program was first introduced after the joint MBT program between No-See Jerry and the Imperial Republic of Spin was initiated. The JST-50A is the MBT that was made by this program, and now the GAMBT is the fully domestic equivalent. With a monstrous 140mm main cannon, it can penetrate 230mm of 40º sloped armor at 300 yards. Let that sink in, the upper front plate of the Tiger II has a thickness of 150mm at 40º. This MBT’s cannon is a monster on the battlefield. Designed to push through enemy fire without taking losses. The GAMBT-Y950M1’s armor is composed as follows:
Frontal Turret Armor
Layout: Composite sandwich with spaced layers.
Thickness (RHAe): 900–1000 mm
Layering:
150 mm RHA steel outer shell
300 mm non-explosive reactive armor (NERA) modules with ceramics (ex: alumina or silicon carbide)
100 mm air gap
300 mm backing RHA + Kevlar liner
Upper Glacis (Frontal Hull)
Layout: Strong composite slope
Thickness (RHAe): 750–850 mm
Layering:
120 mm steel
200 mm composite matrix (ceramic + NERA)
80 mm steel inner plate
Sloped at 50° from vertical
Lower Glacis
Layout: Moderate slope, weaker than upper glacis
Thickness (RHAe): 450–550 mm
Layering:
100 mm steel
150 mm NERA
50 mm steel inner plate
Sloped at 23°
Side Hull Armor
Layout: Protected against flanking
Thickness (RHAe):
400–500 mm (turret side)
250–350 mm (hull side)
Layering:
50–100 mm steel
150 mm spaced/NERA + ceramic
Rear Armor
Minimal protection
Thickness:
60–80 mm steel plate
Roof Armor
Against top-attack weapons
Thickness: 80–100 mm (hardened steel + ceramics)
With all this weight, the GAMBT-Y950M1 weighs just over 70 tons! A strong powerhouse is needed to move this beast, so a 2300 horsepower turbine engine is required to provide quick acceleration and move this heavy machine.

@MiGlover cool
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp oh ok never mind im developing my own light medium and heavy MBTs
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp It weighs from 50 to 70 tons as I understand my A2 weighs 80 minimum
@AugustVonMartis this is a good tank i grant you that, but it is not perfect. It takes a lot of time to build and is very heavy making it a pain to transport. It’s not very fuel efficient either, and there is a large weakspot present on the very front of the hull armor. The M2 will fix this and add many new features. But I won’t spoil any more of it
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp But it's still hard to watch when my new MBT is inferior in characteristics to the MBT from 1950, besides, my MBT costs as much as a small country, and this one costs only 800,000, besides, the engine that I installed on which I was betting is just a laughing stock compared to this 2300 horsepower monster...
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp Understand...
@AugustVonMartis ur projects are all good, they’re also making me rapidly accelerate mine. That’s how good yours are, they’re also making are making me make more too. It’s competition, just how it works.
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp When MBT can be bought for less than a fkn light tank
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp It feels like I don't see any point in my projects.
@AugustVonMartis the core values of this design for when it was built 7 RP years ago were reliability, effective design, easy maintenance, and availability. It isn’t the cheapest design, the next MBT design should be cheaper than the GAMBT
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp Maybe I overstated the price for 1A2, but I'm not sure.
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp It's not real, why the hell do I need my MBT if I can buy GMBT cheaper?
@AugustVonMartis yes, and the M2 version will come out soon along with the new IFV and other MBT
@YourAverageB1BLancerSimp Why the hell did I need to develop the MBT-70 then, and especially my own MBT? Actually, the characteristics of GAMBT are not bad, if I understand correctly
@AugustVonMartis adjusted for inflation
@B1BLancer $800,000??? Really?
@MiGlover You could also buy the XM1, coming out soon!
@AugustVonMartis
Weight: 50 Tons
Price: $800K
@MiGlover you must improve relations with Spin beforehand
@B1BLancer is this available for sale to Pole-land? if so can I purchase 5 per year for the next 10 years? But ill need a winter camo
Can I know the weight and price?
@urlocalgorillawithaspork I’m gonna make a B model called the GAMBT-Y950M2 with ERA and improved features
@B1BLancer OOoOoOo
