About Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines (Turkish: Türk Hava Yolları), or legally Türk Hava Yolları Anonim Ortaklığı, is the flag carrier of Turkey. As of June 2024, it operates scheduled services to 352 destinations (including cargo) in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas. The airline serves more destinations non-stop from a single airport than any other airline in the world and flies to 131 countries, more than any other airline. With an operational fleet of 24 cargo aircraft, the airline's cargo division Turkish Cargo serves 82 destinations. The airline also owns a low-cost subsidiary, AJet.

A Turkish Airlines Cargo Boeing 777F, registered TC-LJT

Turkish Airlines was established on 20 May 1933 as Turkish State Airlines (Turkish: Devlet Hava Yolları) as a department of the Ministry of National Defense. The airline's initial fleet consisted of two five-seat Curtiss Kingbirds, two four-seat Junkers F 13s and one ten-seat Tupolev ANT-9. In 1935, the airline was turned over to the Ministry of Public Works and was subsequently renamed General Directorate of State Airlines. Three years later, in 1938, it became part of the Ministry of Transportation.

@chumbaready, Well I've never experienced the same thing, here's a video of me landing. Again, are you playing on low physics?

@chumbaready how are you landing? what speed? and for the love of god I hope you aren't playing on low physics

Might as well just land your airplanes with no flaps like when I set the flaps down when I land it just immediately points the nose up, making it impossible to land so the thing is that I’m not trying to be rude but your airplanes or kind of useless, even though they’re kind of cool

I went 600 mph without losing any of my engines. Well, I lost engine three on purpose.

@chumbaready you wouldn't be able to take-off from Wright or Yeager with 100% fuel plus landing would be a lot harder

Why does it only have 34% fuel?

@CaptainNoble Well no worries, the NJ-170 should suffice plenty for now. ;)

@CaptainNoble Those are some great points there, and speaking of which, what would be the biggest kind of airliner that you TRULY ARE willing to build once you get your new PC? =D
Because I'll good with whatever it will be. ;)

@Boeing777x Yes, but apart from the fact that it'd significantly increase lag, 12 abreast seating is just a bit too on the unrealistic end. I know these are fictional airliners and even I don't build strictly to what would make sense in real life but some things are a bit too far off.

I have good idea for another wide body jet for you to do whenever you might be in the mood for one: an extra-wide-bodied single deck jet that would be the big brother of the NJ-170 with 12 abreast seating. (most likely with a 4+4+4 arrangement) What do you think?
