ABOUT EP-SAP

This aircraft with serial number 49936 was built in the Long Beach facility in America and made its first flight on 10/06/1990. On 19/11/1990, the English company Airtours International Airways leased the aircraft with the registration G-HCRP from the leasing company GPA Group (at that time the largest aircraft lessor in the world).

It was leased to Turkish company Sunways in March 1995 with registration TC-INB, in December 1997 with registration EI-CPA and cabin configuration C16Y139 to French company AOM French Airlines, and in June 1998 with registration EC-GVI and cabin configuration CY153 to Spanair. Finally returned to the leasing company on 12/24/2008 with registration N936MD.
From October 2009, it flew for three months with the registration YR-HBZ for the Romanian company Medallion Air, and then from 21/01/2010 with the registration OY-RUE and cabin layout Y165, it served the Danish company Danish Air Transport (DAT)I. From November 2020, its cabin layout was changed to C90Y21, and finally, on 10/31/2021, it was removed from the company's fleet due to the approaching time of the aircraft's heavy check and its cost-effectiveness.

Twenty-two days later, on 11/22/2021, this plane entered the country from Billund, Denmark and landed at Karaj Airport. After parking at this airport for some time and receiving the EP-SAP register belonging to Atlas Air, the plane was transferred to Mehrabad airport. After not receiving the necessary permits for the passenger activity of Atlas Air, the plane started its flight activity on 10 September 1402 under the name of Chabahar Airlines.
