The Kh-55 (in Russian: x-55) NATO designation AS-15 "Kent", also known as RKV-500, is an airborne Soviet cruise missile designed by the MKB Raduga design office. It is capable of a range of nearly 2,500 km and can carry nuclear warheads. The Kh-55 is launched exclusively from bombers and has given rise to many armed versions conventionally, primarily intended for tactical use, such as the Kh-65SE and Kh-SD. However, it appears that only Kh-101 and Kh-555 were admitted to service.
It is not very practical to put missiles more than once on your plane , and shoot before targeting a target
