Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Today I am sharing a new 5th Generation AAM missile developed by me.

VIPER-5M "Barak"

VIPER-5M and its history:

After the "AAM-6X SRAAM-X", there were a couple of complications in using this previous missile, such as how to use it correctly, when to fire it, and a series of other protocols. This resulted in the development of a new missile similar in design and that would avoid the previous problems of the AAM-6X. This missile would be a 5th Generation Air-to-Air missile. The design was specifically derived from the existing "AAM-6X SRAAM-X" missile. It was decided to completely redesign the missile, implementing a new IIR seeker, functional aileron design, redesign of the tail fins, etc.

This was named VIPER-5M "Barak", although this would not follow the same line as the AAM-6X, it was nicknamed VIPER-5M with the intention of referencing the numbering according to the design on which this new missile was based, the RAFAEL Python 5. Although the AAM-6X was already based on the Python 5, although it had design differences somewhat more similar to the Python 4, wider, longer, etc... Now the VIPER-5M is much better than its predecessor except for the maneuverability, since the AAM-6X did have a quite unrealistic maneuverability, very brutal and being the trigger for this series of problems already presented.
