The ATD-02 (Armored Tracked Destroyer ‐ Model 2) was the second super heavy tank prototype dreamt up by the once-famous Buntfort Michelle for the United Republic of Genty. In 1925, the Defense Ministry was in need of a tank specifically designed for urban defense, aiming for an impenetrable mobile bunker that can obliterate both armor and infantry alike. By the following year, plans were drawn up and submitted, a wooden mockup being quickly built after picking up interest. It was later greenlighted for prototype development. Its initial engine choice was found to be underpowered for moving the 88 ton steel behemoth, prompting the use of a stronger engine with significantly worse fuel efficiency. Due to its immense weight, the vehicle can barely achieve 24 kph, consuming an absurd 10.8 gallons per mile on ideal road conditions. It was given a 950 liter fuel capacity, but can be extended to 1050 with external fuel tanks. The tank's armor was made of rolled homogenous steel plates welded together. The vehicle is expected to be manned by 6 crew members: 1 Driver, 2 loaders, 1 gunner, 1 radio operator, and 1 commander. Drivers can see with a main driver's port with 45° visibility, and the Radio Operator's viewport with 20° visibility to the right to the vehicle. The gunner sits comfortably to the right side of the turret to control both guns, while the each loader is behind and besides it (One for the secondary and to assist the main loader. The heavy ammunition promted the use of a crane system, allowing them to quickly lift the round into the chamber. Charges are located in the left side of the hull while ammunition lay in the right side. The commander sits inside the mechanically operated cupola, with viewports for moderate visibility. A hatch in the back of the turret is opened to dump out shell casings. After firing multiple shots, the hatches are opened by crew members to remove the gun's toxic propellant gasses. Two prototypes were ordered for testing, and the project was eventually canceled due to its high production costs and impracticality. The Defense Ministry has decided to avoid any super heavy tank projects in the future, opting instead for more maneuverable vehicles in tank development.
It is armed with an 183mm primary gun (converted from a coastal artillery gun) and a secondary 45mm Autocannon. The main gun uses both APHEBC for armored opposition and time-fuse HE for buildings and infantry. It takes an extraordinarily long time to reload, the fastest loading time being 20.7 seconds. The secondary 45mm cannon is fed by 15-round magazines, firing tracer, and high explosive rounds. It boasts around 235mm frontal hull armor, with thinner 170 mm side hull armor. The turret has a thicker 284mm frontal turret armor and 211 mm side turret armor. It features a lamp on the turret and back to illuminate its surroundings during nighttime use.
