History

The ST-21 Skyboom was a design proposal from manufacturer, Statham Stetson Tenterson, or otherwise simply called SST was heavily modified from the B-56 Raccoon bomber in late 70s as a design proposal to airlines who operate short to medium routes, the ST-21 was intended to serve as a narrow-body airliner, the design had a few interesting features, such as the sideways bucket thrust reverser engines, and a landing parachute to help ease the difficulties of landing. Unfortunately however, due to bad timing and the doubted reliability of the design itself, the manufacturer canceled the design after concluding it was obsolete then after.
