In the 1970's, Grumman created a legend in air combat. It would become famous in Top Gun and again in Top Gun: Maverick. It was the F-14. The F-14A Tomcat would receive numerous updates throughout the years until in the 1990's the F-14D Super Tomcat would be unleashed. It range was increased along with the engine power.
