Description

Richard Nixon Class was started in 1985 classified as Project Protector , the ships was chosen in 1986 and classified as Project 7089. And months later it was renamed to Richard Nixon Class named after the 37th President of United States . The design of the RNC was designed to reduce it's Radar Cross Section.

Design

The Design of the ship was designed to reduce it's Radar Cross Section and it's drag , the design of the ship was also used on the Type 45 Destroyer or Daring Class Destroyer of the Royal Navy. The construction of the ships was built in US ,UK and in Algeria . The assembly of the ships utilize welding and bolting , it uses Metal above waterline and Aluminum below waterline

United States and United Kingdom did the designs and Ship Building , Algeria for Ship Building and Supplies . Italy , Germany, Israel and France supplies the weapon system and systems

The construction of the ship usually last for 1-2.3 years . The shop was built in modules for easier repairs and easier assembly . the weapons carried were 76mm Gun , 127mm gun . Missile Defence were Decoy Launchers and The Kompatk Mod 5.60 CIWS.
