Flex wing

The idea of this was to just toy around with the visual side of things. I wanted to create a wing which flexes in a way similar to those of the Boeing 787. For the sake of simplicity, I did not try to replicate the Boeing 787; both because I suck at doing replicas and because I have no idea how to do such an accurate plane on mobile.

Some general notes and features:

  • The gear mounted on the wings can be detached by pressing the [1] activation group. The only reason they're included is because when a plane spawns, it just sort of settles onto the ground. Given this plane's wings, they start upwards and strike the ground and it causes damage. So once you're going 60 mph, you can detach and forget them.

  • The hinges used to make the wings flex may have actually hindered the performance, but it wasn't really about that with this experiment so I didn't really mind.

  • The diameter of the propellors tapers as you move outboard because the props could otherwise strike the ground if landing off a runway and/or in an unstable way. I tried countering the smaller diameter on the furthest outboard props by adding two blades to each one.

Enjoy!
