Development:
The C-390 Millennium was developed as a military transport jet, first announced at the Latin America Aero & Defense (LAAD) defense materials fair in Rio de Janeiro in April 2007.[8] In the 2009 edition of the same event, the launch of the program was formally announced.
Its original designation "Embraer KC-390" was changed in November 2019.
The aircraft established a new standard for medium military transport, aiming to meet the operational requirements of the Brazilian Air Force to replace the C-130 Hercules.[5] Its development cost was around R$2 billion.
