VARIABLE GEOMETRY CHALLENGE

48.8k Baldovino  7.2 years ago

After a long time, here's the new challenge:

VARIABLE GEOMETRY WINGS

Your aim is to create an aircraft with variable geometry wings. Unleash your imagination. What matters is that the wings have a practicable geometry variation in flight. There were thousands and thousands of projects that have flown with this feature, even in ways different from the classical variation of the arrow. You must choose, and especially think original the best solution. The variation can be manual (e.g. the classic VTOL) or automatically linked to other commands (which is very spectacular to see, as in my SNAW FA-88

(https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/rg64Xj/SNAW- FA-88-Variable-Geometry)

The contest opens today (March 22) and ends in exactly one month (April 21). I will download all the successors in the day of 22, so you can get up to day 21. Once I've downloaded all the successors, I will not take more into account. Be sure to post at late in day 21.

REGULATION:

1) Must be a successor. I will NOT examine aircraft that are not direct successors of this. I will not examine "successors of successors" or aircraft that are not successors to nothing. MUST appear in the list of successors of this, because I shall examine ONLY that ones. Do not post links to other aircraft, I will not look at them.

2) It must fly. And it must do it right. Must fly with all possible geometries, so if you make an aircraft with wings that close as fighters embarked on aircraft carriers, and with closed wings does not fly, it will be very difficult enter one of the top three places (Unless it is not a secondary characteristic, and that the aircraft also has a variation of arrow, for example. In this case, specify it)

3) Must be able to take off and land with ease on the wheels fully functional.

4) Must complete OCEANVIEW success driven by AI. The less time it takes, the more points you take

5) You can use any XML editing

6) must have a pleasing and credible aesthetic (no flying pieces supported by the forces of magic separate from the plane's body, nor other things that run counter to the logic)

7) Use a credible paint work. A plane rainbow color will have less points. Realistic colors will receive more points. complex and rich of details colorations will take even more.

8) Empower your plane functions related to AG groups. Lights, mobile parts and other. Most work will you do to enrich your plane, the more points you will take.

9) Three-dimensional wings will receive more points than basic flat wings of the game.

10) Check for any bugs before releasing the aircraft. If you use the "mirror" function probably wings will block, or at least one of the two. Airplanes with a bug like that will exclude them from the rest of the tests.

11) Weapons are not required, but if present, will give points, especially if they are linked to special features such as bays, movements or other special things that are different from the simple "take a missile and paste it on the plane"

12) Upvote this aircraft is not required, but if you like the contest is pleasing.

I will vote EVERY airplanes entered the challenge, and the winner, the 2nd and 3rd place there will be additional prizes.

The winner will take 10 upvote, a follower (me) and 10 jetstream
the runner will upvote 5 and 5 jetstream
third place will take 5 upvote

@pushthelimits One entry for player. If someone want to change his entry, he must delete the first one and upload a new one (be sure that is successor of my contest and not of the first one)

@Baldovino You can type your responses in whichever language you feel is best for you. We are all on the internet and Google is God. ...or at the very least babel fish.
È possibile digitare le risposte in qualsiasi lingua che si sente è meglio per voi. Siamo tutti su internet e Google è Dio ...o per lo meno babel pesce.

@pushthelimits Oh... I see. Every interesting and unusal solution is welcome. I cant say how a solution count in my judge because I must see all the plane in the whole "concept".

I can speack only italian (my native language) and english, but sometime my english - as you can see - fail. :) Do not worry, with a bit of patience, I can understand.

You can see them in the second image. BTW, is there another language you would prefer to use? Chances are I can communicate in it.

@pushthelimits I have not understand the question, sorry. (My english sucks). The F-135 is not a successor and is not a variable geometry wings plane.... what you mean?

@Baldovino I like it, but ask have a question: Do the way I have missiles placed on my ICARRUS Grant-Class F-135?
