Kirill Lisitsyn decided to take a break from military aviation, as his planes performed all the tasks, beat enemies and records and had a good reputation among pilots.
Kirill decide to develop a sports aircraft, using the experience of Italian colleagues from the 20th century.
After examining the drawings of the Bugatti model 100, Lisitsyn developed his own version and named it TU-12. This aircraft have a good level of aerodynamics and have excellent speed for sufficiently low-power engines (two engines of 1000 horsepower)
