NAF C6 "swift"

Hello everybody! Welcome to my second post of 2026!
I hope you enjoy this little "military detour" with the NKB-X and this little thing. I've become quite proud of this fighter after months of development.
But first, let me introduce it to you!

-What is this?
The C6 is a small supersonic fighter aircraft designed for one purpose. Extreme maneuverability!
My previous fighters weren't great at actual fighting. I tended to create planes built for speed and heavy armament, which meant almost anything could beat them in a dogfight.

So, back in August, I was designing a novel kind of engine (which I used on this thing ) that I thought would be great on a nimble fighter like this, so I created a prototype called “HAA-X.”
Then came the Simpleplanes Fighter Tournament about 5 months ago, and I had an idea to slay the competition. Since most people were building slow-moving crafts with OP missiles, I decided to build a plane with a ton of flares designed to be fast and agile.
So, while the enemy plane was busy pointlessly trying to get a lock on my aircraft, they would get closer and closer, until they would be forced into a dogfight, where the superior agility of my plane would prevail.
The idea wasn't bad, but I failed to consider just how overpowered missiles can be in this game, so everything went well until somebody made a drone that could almost instantly pulverize any threat ☠️☠️☠️.
So I was stuck in a bit of a limbo, make the plane less realistic and add more powerful missiles, or back down from the competition. In the end, I chose the latter mostly because I started going to university, leaving little time for further development.
But thanks to the last Christmas season, I got around to finishing development, turning it into a """""more realistic """" plane. So here's the result.
A 1.3-ton, Mach 2-capable fighter designed to operate both from land and from carriers!
A completely realistic plane lmao.

Everything can be found in the in-game description; other than that, the plane is very intuitive to fly, so you shouldn’t have any issues.

It was the end of the great Titanian war, and a brand new kind of plane was taking to the skies—the supersonic aircraft.
Several countries at that time had already been using subsonic jets for a while, but almost everyone had trouble getting their jets to fly above 1000 km/h. This was until a daring Terrasian test pilot flew a rocket-powered plane up to Mach 1.3.
So, the race was on; everyone now wanted a supersonic fighter. Nowhere was this desire greater than in the U.S.E. (United States of Erthia), a close ally of the U.T.C.R. (also known as the Terrasian Union). They were absolute leaders in the sky, thanks to a series of military aircraft known as the "C series", built by "C-aircraft manufacturer".
The Air Force (also known as the N.A.F.) sent the specifications for the new jet. A sleek Mach 1.8 capable agile fighter meant to replicate the agility of the C4 propeller-driven fighter, which was previously the workhorse of the military.
C-aircraft manufacturer took their chance to develop this brand new super-fighter.
It wasn't easy, though; they first had to develop a plane that could withstand the harsh conditions of supersonic flight, but also keep the design "traditional" in appearance to make the plane cheaper to build. The company was struggling financially due to upcoming competition and bad management.
The design ended up being a small, 1-seater monojet with a sleek main body and highly swept back wings for extreme maneuverability. It would also feature one of the first radar systems to make it capable of shooting six brand new air-air missiles the N.A.F. had just introduced into its fleet. But it would also feature 4 traditional guns for close combat. It would also be capable of refueling mid-air and landing on aircraft carriers to increase loitering time.
The plane worked wonders; it could shoot down anything the N.A.F. had in its line-up. It was used for the first time to defend the northern borders from attacks by the nation of Itenia, where the plane suffered little to no losses.
It would remain in service for a long time as a reliable machine, but with time, as jets became more complex and more oriented towards long-distance fighting, the plane and its small missile armament became obsolete. The N.A.F. decided to retire them from frontline service, and instead keep some of them as trainers for more experienced young pilots.
