HISTORY
In 2000, the modernization of the KRI Sundanese and Papua ships was completed, but Admiral Soebijanto wanted to change the weaponry of the KRI Papua ship into a ship capable of destroying enemy submarines and destroying enemy missiles, so in 2005 KRI Papua made modifications. KRI Papua installed 2 quantiple torpedo tubes,2 RBU-6000, 10 P-500 Bazalt, as well as an A-135 Anti-Ballistic Missile accompanied by a Special Radar capable of detecting ballistic missiles within a range of 1000 KM
